Looking for help with wedding rings!
As I've stated before, unless Paul wises up quickly, we're getting married April 1st, 2010.

I want to start looking for nice matching wedding rings for us. Has anyone looked at anyplace they might suggest?

Thank you in advance.

Will

1. Have them made by a jeweler or artist that works with gold.
Some jewelers will make them also from old personal or family jewelry, melting down the gold and forming them into your own design of rings. I always thought that was like melting your pasts into the symbols of your future together. Congrats, by the way.

2. How far and wide ya wanna go?
Manhattan has the "diamond district" and they had alot more than just diamonds. I ended up getting my band elsewhere, but it helped me see the wide variety of choices and styles. Truth is, I'da bought one I saw there but the other half wanted something just a tad different.

I wouldn't be surprised if most very large metropolitan areas had some sort of "jewelery district". And if you're looking for antiques, there are often antique districts with several focusing upon jewelery.

3. We had ours made by a local jeweler - he braided three colors of gold
in one strip and then cut it in half to make the actual rings

4. Go local
There are plenty of craftspeople who can make a one of a kind set. One caveat-- if you have anything inscribed on the outside of the ring, it will wear off over time.
