Adam Lambert says he’s gay in interview
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/31185626/

NEW YORK - “American Idol” runner-up Adam Lambert has landed the cover of Rolling Stone magazine, where he talks about sex, drugs and his “Idol” experiences.

The 27-year-old singer from San Diego acknowledges in an interview that he’s gay, and says it shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone.

“I’m proud of my sexuality,” he says. “I embrace it. It’s just another part of me.”

1. Well timed I think.
It's too bad, but I doubt he would have won had he announced before hand.

2. Why is this such a big deal?
It really pissed me off that everyone was speculating on if he was gay or not, when all that should have mattered is how well he sings.

Adam will always be my American Idol.

5. Mine too. HIs voice, his style, The world needs Adam Lambert
Can't wait for his album.
Adam is the ONLY reason I recorded Am Idol every week. Then I could fast forward past all the other boring singers, with exception of Allison, aka. 'Janis Joplin reincarnate'.

Adam was the only one to watch. Amazing voice.

3. What inspired Adam to make his way to the Idol Audition? ( lol..totally cool)

snip...
Lambert says he was inspired to audition for the Fox network singing competition after having a "psychedelic experience" at the Burning Man festival in Nevada. There, he says, he experimented with "certain funguses."

His recording deal, signed with RCA & to be produced this summer, is huge.
I predict the sales #s will blow him away.
Rise like a rocket, Adam !!

7. Good for him. His sexuality should have NEVER been an issue
He's the most talented singer that show has EVER had and fuck anyone that thinks his sexuality is a negative.

I hope he outsells every American Idol on the radio.

11. there's a video on the Rolling Stone site as well, from the photos shoot
Whew, that is quite a cover shot!

I missed the whole Idol thing until it was nearly over (no TV, YouTube only), but I've come to really love Adam Lambert. He's smart, confident, funny, savvy, polite, sexy by anyone's defintion, and can sing the hell out of anything except genres I don't like anyway.

I've been listening to this over and over again - an exquisite performance from Brigadoon years ago

And this song about fame, from some electronic stuff he recorded a few years ago, is very clever and oh so interesting now that he's made the cover of RS...

13. SWOON! That is one lucky snake.
He is so hot. I haven't heard him sing yet, but I will soon. He's a hero to me, too.

Me, I'm just a bi woman who keeps falling in love with gay men.
