Obama Outlines His Agenda on WhiteHouse.gov
as reported on gay.com.

<http://hottopics.gay.com/2009/01/obama-outlines-his-gay-agenda-on-whitehousegov.html>

So far, he:

supports...
believes...
supports...
thinks...
opposes...
wants to...

Such bold action from our "fierce advocate".

5. So, when are we "allowed" to bring up questions regarding his progress?
Tomorrow? Next Saturday? The 12th of never?

And the "adjust your meds" bit was offensive.

One of my consistent criticisms of Obama is that his support for gay rights is that of "belief", "support", "thinking", and other things that are not actions. Actions require, well.... ACTIONS. He's had none.

I'm truly looking forward to being able to read about his having done the following

Ordered
signed
proposed
insisted

regarding equal rights for gays. Otherwise, it's talk without anything behind it.

7. as I said. How long?
Hours, days, weeks, months, or years?

How long is it until it's acceptable to you? Please answer.

We gays can then STFU until then.

14. "Better Than McCain" is NOT "Change You Can Believe In"
I SINCERELY hope that I will not spend the next four years here watching every single chance Obama had to do something to advance gay rights waived off by enablers who'll sheep up with a resounding cry of "He's better than McCain!"

Fact: no one expected George Bush to do anything positive for gay people. And why not? Because he said he wasn't going to! And if McCain had been elected, no one would have expected HIM to do anything either. Because he said he wasn't going to.

Obama has SAID he's going to bring positive change for gay people. So he's the one who gets a pass? Because he SAID something? Like every politician since time immemorial has SAID something?

You don't hold the guy's feet to fire who's already told you he's not doing anything for you. You hold the guy's feet to the fire when he promises you the moon. You hold his feet to the fire to MAKE SURE HE COMES THROUGH.

Obama doesn't get a pass because he's not McCain. He doesn't get a pass AT ALL. He promised change. AND WE ARE OBLIGATED TO MAKE SURE HE DELIVERS. ALL OF US.

13. I noticed that too. I'm glad we're mentioned on whitehouse.gov, but I eagerly await those words to
change into something actionable.
