6. What in gods' name
does geographical location have to do with this question? Did I miss something?

I voted for GLBT strictly because it's slightly easier to say than LGBT.

9. Well, The Community Center in NYC is called the LGBT Center...
...and most people I know in New York say LGBT. I tend to hear GLBT only from folk visiting from CA. That's why I wondered. And why wouldn't region have to do with the language we use? Soda v. Pop for example.

10. Oh, okay!
I'm from California originally, thus perhaps my preference for GLBT. But I still say it's less awkward to speak "Gee-el-bee-tea" than "El-gee-bee-tea"

11. I kind of like Queer myself...
...except that's so controversial, and is still hurtful to many, so it's kind of out.

7. Well I answered...
...LGBT and closer to the West Coast. Even though I am in Australia, my partner is in San Francisco, so it is only natural that _I_ be closer closer to the West Coast. :)

Anyway, I say LGBT, because for me, it rolls off the tongue a little easier. :)
