I posted a comment after election day saying I stood with my gay brothers and sisters. Being a straight guy I don't have much in this fight, except RIGHTS. You know in my Political Mastermind thoughts (you know the ones that make you think thoughts of Progressive Rule) that I have tried to rationalize Rick Warren's participation. I have made up my mind...

Thoughts like that is what Dems have done for ever and loosing. Lets be honest here Stand Up For PEOPLES' RIGHTS! I am sick and tired of there being people that don't have the same rights in our country. Sometimes you have to do what is right not what is politically expedient. Nut up!

Really. It hurts like hell to know that a group of people are suffering. I don't understand why people have such a problem with gay marriage, and with their fellow human beings having the same rights they have. It's so cruel, and yet, the people who consistently show up to the polls to bury gay rights don't even have a fucking clue as to the devastation they are causing. If they did, they would rip their own hearts out.

7. In my many arguements with people who want to ban gay

marriage, when they get to the point where they say "we have to stop this", I say "you can. All you have to do is insist that all of us, straight, gay, single, have exactly the same rights". It ends the arguement and they huff and go away. They aren't about to give up their rights for all to be equal. Bunch of hypocrits, and cowards to boot.

Elected office is a cumbersome thing. You have to deal with seniority, elections, and the oppositions hate. All waves of crap that I don't want to ride. I am more of the behind the scenes guy.

Fortunately things are changing - there is still a lot of work and heartache going around but I have faith that things are changing. We mush never give up - not until every citizen has the exact same rights granted via the same laws.
