I wish I could write like Plaid Adder

Because she posted a superb post in GD:

In my reply to her very well written post, I made the same mistake that I did with Bill Clinton in 1992...I thought a Democratic President would sign some bills and poof! Equality for all.

Well, I think it's time to realize that Obama is going to do the same thing as Clinton. I think the high point will be that gay and lesbian group in the Inaugural Parade.

A lot of symbolism, not much else.

Plaid Adder is absolutely right. And, like Clinton, I had my heart broken again by a Democratic President. Hell, what more do we need to see it?

1. Sad to say but would they allow someone who promoted real change to live?
The cynic in me says no. Or at least he wouldn't be allowed anywhere close to the power of the Presidency, such as Kucinich.

3. Yes, the problem is we live in a dictatorship of the plutocracy.
The fact that "they" are the ones who get to choice whether or not things happen is the big problem.

2. The parallel I see isn't with Clinton, it's with Carter
Right now, he's trying to please everybody. What I'm hoping for is his street smarts telling him he's getting stabbed in the back before he accumulates as many daggers as Carter did before he realized he was weakened beyond repair.

I still hold out hope that he's not going to make the bad situations this country finds itself in worse. Clinton did make them worse. Carter actually made a few of them better, although he's never given credit for any of it.

In the meantime, you've got over half the human race with you under the bus. Warren hates women, too.
