Vallas, Bankers, Haiti...oh, and Education, Too
Edited on Mon Feb-15-10 09:13 PM by tonysam
Paul Vallas, an administrator who ruins every school district he touches, including Chicago and the "Recovery" District in Louisiana, is now out to foist disaster crapitalism on Haiti, it is reported (title taken from the Schools Matter blog):

Sneed is told that former Chicago Public Schools CEO Paul Vallas, who once eyed a mayoral bid, is developing a model to build a school system in Haiti for an international American bank.

• Backshot: Vallas, who commutes to his job as the New Orleans school chief from his home in Palos Heights, wants rumors put to rest that he will be running for mayor soon. "The time has also expired for establishing residency in Chicago to be a mayoral candidate," said Vallas' brother Dean. "So please put these rumors to rest."

2. "build a school system in Haiti for an international American bank."
schools-R-us, international. soon to be coming to these shores as well.

franchising schools is the new profit center. & they can be franchised on a global level. "small schools" my ass. if you can pay for it personally.

prison schools for the poor, mass-production schools for the workers, & boutique schools for the top 10th.
