1. honestly, that pick really, really sucked.
I think Obama is going to lose some teacher support if he doesn't get his head turned away from Bush's NCLB disaster mess.

2. There are 2 conflicting agendas going on at the same time in education
The dumming down, or stalling of the curriculum so ALL kids can "pass", & not be "left behind",

at the same time

an agenda to "toughen up" the curriculum.

Kids & teachers are left in the crossfire & NO ONE is winning....except the testing companies.

We give so many "required standardized tests" now that there is little time to teach the material the kids are being tested on.

Time to wipe the slate clean & completely revamp education.
