I believe the war on marijuana...

...is a culture war.

Those addicted to what Graham Nash referred to as "miltary madness" equate it as a symbol of the '60's and it scares the shit out of them for some reason.

They fear an open mind.

---

GRAHAM NASH
Military Madness

In an upstairs room in Blackpool
By the side of a northern sea
The army had my father
And my mother was having me
Military Madness was killing my country
Solitary Sadness comes over me

After the school was over and I moved
To the other side
I found a different country but I never
Lost my pride
Military Madness was killing the country
Solitary sadness creeps over me

And after the wars are over
And the body count is finally filed
I hope that The Man discovers
What's driving the people wild
Military madness is killing your country
So much sadness, between you and me
War, War, War, War, War, War

---

1. Funny though how drugs is one of the military's biggest problems in a
war zone, isn't it? I mean, do you know anyone who was in Viet Nam and didn't smoke? I don't.

4. Even The Right Wing Admits as Much
Most of them are fucked up drunks, yet they feel righteous when demonizing a natural weed.

If you compared and contrasted the effects of each substance, you would find that alcohol is much worse for human consumption and has far worse implications for people who are around that person drinking.

5. The war on marijuana runs much deeper than the recreational
drug uses. It also prevents us from utilizing industrial hemp which is an important renewable resource which would directly compete with many of the corporate interests that have taken control of our government.
---------

Hemp is among one of the most productive and useful plants known; also very safe. The following materials can be made from hemp: paper, textiles, building materials, food, medicine, paint, detergent, varnish, oil, ink, and fuel. Unlike many crops, hemp can be grown in most locations and climates with only moderate water and fertilizer requirements. Where hemp is grown, it has become a valuable and environmentally friendly crop.

11. Not only a hemp war
Its a war against competing realities. Like the native americans were turned off roots and mushrooms, and conditioned to becomes quasi christian drunks. The cross and the bottle go hand in hand into turning the populace into confused, agressive, yet easily manipulated 'public opinion' . I wonder how the muslim leaders achieve this without alcohol. Must be some terribly kinky secret connected to their gender domination hierarchy, which we will only find out in a few decades.

12. Roots
This is but another example of ignoring our constitution and the inherent rights of the states..... The FEDERAL government has no place in regulating Marijuana among others to the point of banning it....
