Pro Choice = "Save Roe"?
How does that resonate with you? The graphic design is striking, the short syllables are snappy-- but what are we saying? What marketing guru came up with this-- and are they really on our side?

Maybe it's just me that notices FIRST the unfortunate association with fish eggs.

Personally, I don't find "Roe v. Wade" has many syllables.

"Save Roe"-- fish eggs

"Save Roe v. Wade"-- Supreme court decision.

What do you think?

1. Probably a lawyer or someone knowledgeable about law
Legal shorthand for any court case is to refer only to the plaintiff, always named first. Some court cases have pages and pages of plaintiffs, so only the first one gets named.

For the general public, Roe v. Wade is more clear. Notice how the righties are constantly trying to overturn "Roe v. Wade", not "Roe"?

I personally prefer to see bumper stickers with the entire court case, for total unambiguity. How many other court cases are out there with one unnamed plaintiff fictitiously described as "Roe"?

Just curious, where did you see the slogan? Was it on a bumper sticker?

2. ...but not about fishing?
There was a Planned Parenthood ad with peppy graphic on the DU homepage 10-24-- may still be there...

Also saw pre-made bright (pink?) signs with the heavy black lettering, held by a rally of women on TeeVee.

"Roe" is too slick for me

And as you point out:

"Notice how the righties are constantly trying to overturn "Roe v. Wade", not "Roe"?"

"For the general public, Roe v. Wade is more clear."

3. Yet another example...
of how the conservatives are better at branding and marketing than we are. Honestly, why can't we seem to get a decent PR mind on our side?
