1. Its time we call ourselves pro-life
Edited on Tue Feb-08-05 09:34 PM by daydreamer
We are against government restriction and we fight for everything that makes life better in this country. I have never told any woman to get an abortion. Why am I pro-choice? I am just anti-no-choice. Freedom and personal responsibility. We need to take those Rep. slogans back to where it belongs! Anybody who wants to forbid any woman to have abortion should also be ready to adopt and pay for that that unwanted child. Otherwise they need to shut up.

3. Indeed, pro-life has to do with so much more...
...than just the issue of abortion. I am also anti-no choice. Good way to put it.

2. Well there's only one candidate left still running to head the DNC
Edited on Tue Feb-08-05 09:30 PM by Rowdyboy
and he's pro-choice, so I really don't see much point in a petition asking for a pro-choice chairman.

Howard Dean, chairman, Democratic National Committee....Has a nice ring to it, no?

5. Sadly, if he wins the DNC chair, he's taken himself out of the 2008 race

7. Finally, Some Good News
I'm hoping with Dean as head of the DNC, there won't be any more of "let's sell out choice and gay rights" talk.

9. I think he'll stick to his guns.
His main message has always been, "We don't beat Republicans by acting like them."

During his run for the DNC he articulated that the party should not backtrack from its core values, especially social ones. Instead, he says we need to keep communication open and get people to see our point-of-view, matter-of-factly, not dogmatically or abstractly.

8. We're going to get Howard Dean...
We're going to get Howard Dean.
We're going to get Howard Dean.

That's who should have won the primaries. He need a strong Democrat who won't sacrifice Democratic values for votes.

And as much as I'd like to see a woman president, I do like Dean better. He stands his ground.

I think the Democrat's unwillingness to stand their ground and to announce their values as moral is what caused us to lose.

I understand that Hilary is trying to build popularity, but her tactic is saying that we have something to be ashamed of by being pro-choice. It's time we stood up for our values and proclaimed that we're not ashamed. Maybe then we'll win more elections. We almost got them this time.
