Coming out of my closet

My writing group has gotten very stale, and I'm thinking this might be a good place to hang out.

I've been writing since I was about 35. I now have 3 complete novels, one incomplete sequel to the longest, and two first chapters of other books. (did I mention focus is a challenge?)

About ten years ago I went through the machinations to get the big one published. I got a really nice readers report that was stuck in the manuscript (I don't think I was supposed to see it) and I also succeeded in getting an agent from John Hawkins but she could never pull off a hardcover deal.

I am thinking of giving it a go again and doing some revision.

So what's the deal here? Are any of you up for reading long manuscripts? Short? I'd read in return!
