Question from a friend on Ghost writing
Hi all,

Just got a call from a friend of mine who told me she wants to write her life story, (doesn't everyone?). Her story is quite interesting though and I can see how if it is written well people would like to read it.

She needs someone to help her get organized and to WRITE the story because she has very little education and cannot write well. I really don't know what to tell her but I knew I could throw this up here and get some answers. Thanks!

1. An interesting winter project
How would your friend do this? There would have to be a lot of communication.

3. Try this
Tell your friend that writing what she knows is always better than trying to figure out what others might think she should write.
when i did my auto-bio i wrote it as if i was telling my story to someone that never met me before that day.
By doing it that way i was able to narrate my way through the story line and yet give it the punch it needed to feel like you were a part of the story it's self.
I self published it and sold it locally to test the market, Not only was it a hit among the people that purchased a copy but the local library here also bought a copy.
Now if i could only find an agent maybe i could get it published in a real venue and in the main stream market.
but enough of that I think that if your friend has a fantastic story about her life then tell her to write it down after that she can always get a student in her local high school that is taking a journalism class to do her proof reading and make the necessary corrections that would make it even better.
It not only gives the student a good lesson on writing a story but by doing so you help someone else connect with the writing bug.
Good luck with this
