1. I really like inter-league play and wish this were the true division alignments.

4. All I care about is whether your Metropolitans...
are going to take the series from the Yanks or be too awed by the new Bronx Palace.

I'll be going to see Junior on Sunday. I haven't seen him since 1990 in Seattle. And watching Suzuki will be a treat too.

9. Sounds like fun. Isn't it nice Junior never went to the Yanks/mets/Sox/Dodgers?
Nice he went to Cincy because of his dad.

2. Eh, it'd put me to sleep...
...Detroit playing The Team That Will Never in One Hundred Million Billion Years Be Remotely Described As America's Team...talk about boring.

3. The irony is too much
I'm sure most Detroit fans would sacrifice a Tigers win for a Red Wings' one.

I'm guessing there will be some non-baseball gear in the stands.

5. I was wondering when a Red Wing's fan would ring in.
Will there be any baseball gear in the stands??

Now I will sit back and wait for snark from cuptonboy4!

7. Here's my first compliment about the Detroit Red Wings:
Even they can beat the Pittsburgh Pirates.

10. Since the Red Wings are playing at home
where they're currently 11-1 in the playoffs and even that loss, to Anaheim, was in OT..I would be shocked if they didn't win.

The refs will most likely do their part as well, after all we wouldn't want poor, poor economically disadvantaged Detroit to go without the Stanley Cup, would we?

11. What the fuck is wrong with you.
That's just sick.

OTOH, that was some really good hitting last night against the Giants.

12. It's a lunch bucket city!
You know what's interesting is the blue city of Oakland is discussing filing for bankruptcy.

I wonder if Detroit Tiger fans should start rooting for the A's out of sympathy?

Or is Detroit the only metropolitan area in the country all of us should feel sorry for?
