Edited on Sat May-30-09 12:03 PM by trumad
and at least the Red Sox have won World Series the last couple of years--- they're a good team unlike the Giants----hence making posts about the Red Sox team relevant.

Ad Nauseum posts about a horrible team like the Giants are almost comical.

14. I disagree
Not about douche bags, but that the Giants are horrible. Mediocre, yeah. Disappointing, for sure. But they're not without star players deserving every bit of acknowledgment for outstanding performances as those lavished on Kevin Youkilis or Jason Bey.

But the Giants were horrible last season and I suspect they'll be just as horrible this season.

4. Doubtful
but this win was notable in that the Giants won their 4th in a row and Matt Cain continued his good run..an ERA of 1.57 in his last 5 starts.

Oh, I notice the attention starved Marlins have slipped to 22-27..what happened to that hot start?

6. yeah---22 wins---one win less than your Giants...
Edited on Sat May-30-09 10:03 AM by trumad
Win a World Series before you start smacking my Marlins.

Oh and BTW---you'd think that being 14th ranked in team salaries, you guys would be better than one game over 500.

The Marlins with one less win are 30th.

You guys suck.

8. The Giants have 24 wins
which means they presently have 2 wins more than the Marlins not one...better brush up on your elementary math.

As to salaries, being 14th means the Giants are right in the middle of the pack...a .500 record is right about what one would expect.

The fact that the Marlins are dead last in payroll is a direct product of nobody going to see their games. What a disgraceful franchise....

9. Wow---you got me there--- 2 more wins,
Last season the Marlins finished at 84-77 and your pitiful team finished at 77-90.

I expect that to be about the same this season.

Come on dude--- help me explain why a team that is notoriously last in payroll year in year out continues to be a far better team than your miserable Giants. Two World Series wins since 1997---and you guys have a big fat zero.

Aren't you ashamed of that?

The nerve that you have to talk smack is simply amazing. You guys fucking suck big time.

Now go back to debating attendance because that's all you got.

10. Here's what sad about Miami .. the Marlins draw something like 12,000
a game (their overall average is boosted slightly by larger freebie dates), but they generally average between 9-12,000 during the week as you know.

Last night, the AAA Sacramento River Cats drew 12,967 against Las Vegas .. even though the Giants were playing an hour and a half away down I-80 against the Cardinals, where they drew 35,000+ on a freezing night.

Point being Miami doesn't deserve any of their championships since they're a bunch of phonies who are only interested when the team has made it to the playoffs. And even then, they have to be begged to show up.

All that phoniness is the perfect atmosphere for the Grand Poobah of phonies .. trumad.

15. Here's the point about the Giants and their fans...
Giant fans deserve a winner for their wonderful support but year in and year out are disappointed by their teams ineptness.

It's a God Damn shame that for all the support that the Giants team has received, they have not provided their fans with one World Series championship.

I have to hand it to Giant fans--- to support losers like they do is quite noble, but I would think that the continued support of losing eventually turns them into losers as well---which pretty much explains you and your twin.

Now---I agree--The Marlins support is shit--- but hopefully will improve with a new stadium that's in the city of Miami and not a football stadium outside the city of Miami.

But---for now the few fans who do support the team have been provided a team who has won two Championships since it's inception in 97.

See---C-Douche--- Red Sox fans, Marlin fans and fans of teams who have won Championships in the last couple of decades talk about winning---while fans like yourself have nothing to talk about except----LOL---attendance.

What a Douche.

17. Sure, the Marlins would draw better with a new stadium in an area
where you can go to dinner nearby .. instead of some neighborhood in Miami Gardens.

But why should that need to be the case, which is my point about how the fans of South Florida don't deserve a baseball team, let alone two rings.

I've seen a handful of games at Pro Player Stadium when I've been there on business, and it's a perfectly fine venue when the team is playing good baseball. It's located conveniently off one of the freeways and makes for a basically even drive coming from Miami in the south and Ft. Lauderdale from the north.

There's no excuse for the lack of support for a team that is surprisingly competitive just about every year.

So no, you nor the fans in Miami don't have the right to brag about championships since you have no interest in suffering with the team like everyone else. Those championships fell into your lazy laps.

And you certainly have no business associating yourself with Red Sox fans who are famous for their unbelievable support, win or lose .. the polar opposite of baseball life in South Florida.

You saying that Phin stadium is perfectly fine for baseball simply means you have no idea what you are talking about...

We certainly have the right to brag about Championships because we have two--- you have none...

That's fucking disgraceful,

18. here's the point about fans of two loser teams
debating. It's entertaining as hell trying to see them find anything they can brag about their team, whether it be attendance, air pollution, how close to .500 they are, what they did 20 years ago, how many super bowls they won vs. winning % in super bowls....hilarious! Keep it up.

As Daniel Plainview would say, "It's a goddamn good show.."

11. It's about time he gets some run support. The Giants got him four quick
runs, which had to have been a relief against a good offensive team like St. Louis.

What's ironic is Zito is this year's Matt Cain .. he doesn't get shiite for run support.

Time to come back down to Earth and settle in for a long season with your .500 team.
