18 game NFL Season--- I like it
Edited on Tue May-19-09 04:56 PM by trumad
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) -- The prospect of more NFL games apparently is going to require more talking.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said Tuesday he doesn't anticipate a vote at this week's spring meeting in South Florida on lengthening the regular season to 17 or 18 games.

1. Wow, two more games a season the Dolphins will lose.
I'm surprised you would sign off on that.

6. Only a imbecile would confuse rooting for New England
twice a year against Miami to irritate trumad, with leaving the 49ers.

Miami for the last several years has done quite well against the Pats.

They usually split the season...

But you know that cause you're a douche.

12. That's because they suffer a let down playing a much
lesser team like the Dolphins.

It's not at all unusual for bad teams to sneak up on the good ones.

28. Background
Pitt and I usually bet avatars when the Pat's and the Phins play. Another words--- if the Phins win, Pitt has to display a Phin Avatar---vice-versa.

We usually announce the bet--- like--- Hey Pitt--- Avatars... and we usually respond--- let's do it. Sometimes we shout it out and there's no response... hence no bet. Typically that's the way a bet is--- one challenges---the other accepts.

We've been doing this long before the little Douche came around.

So anyway--- this is one of those times where Pitt didn't reply....so--no bet.

Oh but that's not good enough for the little "immature" Douche bag who has this dumb ass meme tattooed on his forehead. Trumad welched on a bet.

Don't matter how many times Will has told douche there was no bet--- he keeps bringing it up.

And this is where you can clearly see the Douche's "immature" psychosis.

5. No. Not a good idea. This will require the league to add more players
to the roster, further diluting the talent level of the teams. It's tough enough now for a team to get through a 16 game schedule. Going to 18 games will make it even more difficult.

Also, imagine those games between 2-14 and 1-15 teams at the end of the season. YAWN!!

Plus, two more weeks of cboy4 bloviating about the fantastic chances that the forty-whiners have to finish eight games behind the Cardinals!

8. We're only talking 2 games
maybe even only 1 extra game...as they're discussing the possibility of a 17 game season too.

I think it's a great idea...2 less preseason games...I'm all for it.

10. Maybe 17 (though an odd number of games) could wreak havoc on the
schedule. Right now the four exhibition games are really only played by the reserves. The REAL starters only play a handful of series throughout the pre-season. Going to 17 or 18 games would force them into even more games.

Not a good idea.

7. Nah, 18 is too many.
16 is fine. The players take enough of a beating as it is and there just isn't enough pro level talent to make up for the extra attrition.

42. One good thing about the 18 game schedule
Edited on Wed May-20-09 05:24 PM by hughee99
is that all the teams in a division can play the exact same opponents.

Every team in the AFC EAST (for example) would play 6 games against the AFC EAST, and then play 3 other AFC or NFC divisions. No more bitchin' about schedule differences within the division, since everyone has the same opponents.

49. It's A Terrible, Terrible Idea
The playoffs won't have any healthy players. Adding more wear and tear on players' bodies will diminish the game and cut player careers much shorter.

Bad idea. Just eliminate two preseason games and everything will be fine.
