I find it really embarrassing that the New York Yankees can't sellout their 1.5 BILLION dollar stadium==looks real nice in HDTV, yet they still ant to charge top dollar for those front row seats...did the execs forget what kind of economy we're in? Meanwhile, the Mets seem to have gotten it right with Citi Field--the Jackie Robinson rotunda was a great idea, plus the fans really seem to enjoy being there. If the Mets can do it, why not the Yankees?

1. From what I heard the Mets AREN'T really doing it either
The difference being that the Mets seats aren't QUITE as expensive as the Yankees BUT that the most expensive seats aren't in the most obvious spots...In Yankee stadium its visibly obvious that those seats aren't selling. The Mets are having the same problems with their top tier seats I understand, however, they are located in such a way that its not so obvious.

3. Yeah, you'd think that would fill it...
...its a celebration of excess, which apparently even New-Yawkers are having trouble stomaching.

4. What's to see?
Who would want to leave the House that Ruth built for the House that Steinbrenner built?

Why pay that much to see a bunch of overpaid players let their egos get in the way of being a team?

5. well I understand the food is alot better!
They even have a full pledged butcher shop  You'd think the Yankee management would sell some of those expensive ass seats at a good discount for military personnel and their families (especially during fleet week, or better yet, each home game since they love that long, overdrawn God Bless America renditions)..

but then again, my last name isn't Steinbrenner!

6. It's still not even the best stadium food in NY...
From everything I've read the food at Citi Field blows Yankee Stadium grub out of the water. They can't even get the overpriced food right
