Stallworth legally drunk when he killed pedesterian
Edited on Thu Mar-19-09 06:16 PM by Upton
Cleveland Browns wide receiver Donte Stallworth was driving drunk when he struck and killed a pedestrian, according to published and broadcast reports Thursday. WSVN-TV reported Thursday that unnamed sources with knowledge of the investigation said Stallworth's blood-alcohol level was between .08 and .16. The legal limit is .08. The Miami Herald also cited an unnamed source as saying that Stallworth's blood-alcohol level was above the legal limit.

This guy looks to be in some real trouble...I know Stallworth just signed with the Browns but you can be sure he's now got the interest of Jerry Jones....

1. His career is OVER.
Sounds like he is eligible to join the DeBartelo Felon Club!

3. Could be but this what I figure
Jones could pick up Stallworth in a trade (Browns will let him go cheap now), and have his lawyer petition the court for Stallworth to serve whatever sentence he receives in the jail being constructed underneath the new Cowboy stadium...Maybe get the judge to let him out to play in home games.

You have to admit, Stallworth would fit right in...he'd just be one of the 'Boys.

4. Nice spin on the cboy.
As a liberal, you should be applauding the fact that he is giving the young men another chance. It's their's to decide whether than can make it happen. Apparently they haven't.

I'm glad the forty-whiners have given the York family another chance in life!

7. And as a liberal, you shouldn't give a crap about some ridiculous
riverboat gambling thing that fucked over DeBartolo .. the greatest owner in NFL history.

Felon :eyes:

Please.

9. As a liberal, why should I really care about a man
who was controlled by the mafia, and was able to build a team with mob money. For Dog's sake, the Bidwell's would have five rings also if they had the "support" that DeBartolo did.

12. Riiiight, because we all know how easy it is to buy a
Super Bowl trophy.

Hell, Dallas should have 20 of them by now, if it was that easy.

No, sorry, the 49ers were owned by a remarkable owner and coached by a genius, and successful because of their unbelievable drafting and free agency skills.

It's why they're the greatest franchise in NFL history, at 5 rings to zero loses.

2. Very sad.
Unfortunately someone will probably still take him..look at Leonard Little who did the same thing, went to jail for a little while and came back to the Rams.

or taunting a disliked team. A man is dead and a young man's life is ruined. Frankly I see nothing funny about this story. Nor do I see much of sports in it. Just a very sad situation with losers all the way around.

18. Thanks, Nomad.
That is what is really happening. Not that he could end up back in the NFL.

A man is dead, and chances are Stallworth will never play in the NFL again. A sad situation all around.
