It's official: Nolan is Broncos' defensive coordinator
As expected, the Broncos made it official Tuesday, hiring former San Francisco 49ers head coach Mike Nolan as defensive coordinator.

Nolan, who has agreed to terms on a two-year contract, becomes the first assistant coach hired by the Broncos' newly hired head coach, Josh McDaniels.

Nolan had been the 49ers' head coach from 2005 until during this past season when he was fired and replaced by Mike Singletary.

Nolan has been a defensive coordinator with the Ravens, Jets, Redskins and Giants in his NFL coaching career. He got his start in the league as a special teams and linebackers coach with the Broncos from 1987 to 1992....

I wish it was Dick Nolan. This Nolan is a loser.

2. He certainly didn't do much for the Washington D when he was here
I think at best his Defenses were ranked around 15 or so.

3. That's why I'm laughing.
:D

I honestly don't get the Shanahan firing at all. Yeah, he's a big dick like Ole Cheatin' Bill up here, but he knows his shit better than anyone they're going to hire in his place.

On the plus side, you're happier! :)

4. I compare it to Auburn firing Tuberville and hiring Chizik.
WTF were they thinking?

6. well...I have to admit that when the Chargers hired Turner
I thought :wtf: but it hasn't been an awful choice for them all things considered. Maybe it will work out for Denver. Certainly I don't think their D can get much worse...

7. I'm still thinking that with Turner.
Every head coaching job he has, turns into all sorts of bizarre losses happening, some even outside the control of teh coach.

Norv is just bad "vibes".

9. Your dissing the Denver defense?
Better not say that where they can hear you, or they'll kick your ass.
Assuming they can catch you, of course.
