Who's Your Pick for the Super Bowl??
Based on who is left - who will you pick to play in the Super Bowl?? If you want to pick who will win as well, that works.

I'm going out on limb here and pick my team Miami Dolphins vs Carolina Panthers

It could happen

8. Eagles over Ravens
Any team (other than Detroit) can pretty much beat any other team in this parity 8-8 NFL. The Cardinals or Dolphins would be the most unlikely teams to win it all I think.

Imagine that Super Bowl matchup.

9. Steelers over Giants,
Pittsburgh overcomes the special teams mistakes that cost them their first matchup with the Giants.

10. that special teams mistake
tied the game. The Giants took the ball and scored a TD after that play and then stopped 2 Steelers drives. What cost them the first game was the fact that the Giants DL kicked the crap out of the Steelers OL.

11. I knew Miami fans would get carried away. It's not enough
to make the playoffs after a 1-15 season.

Now it's the Lombardi trophy. :eyes:

The number of teams that are sooooo much better is astonishing.

no way are they a Super Bowl contender.

15. Uh, I said it was a dream
I would love to see them go to the Super Bowl. It would be fun to see a team that was 1-15 last year make it all the way. Wow thanks for being a Debbie Downer

17. No, you said, "it could happen."
I'm simply responding the way you'd be treated if you made that comment on ESPN radio.

Actually, I'm prolly being much more polite.

You said it could happen. NOT that it was a dream.

12. Panthers - Chargers
After two tight wins against KC and Brett Favre's hapless Jets, I'm not sure that the Dolphins will be able to get out of Miami alive.

28. From your lips to God's ear
What I dread, living in Indy, is a Eagles - Colts matchup. Not thinking anything past the Vikings at the moment. Nervous to see if Reid turns into a passaholic again.

30. Eagles
have the talent to zip right through the playoffs and they also have the bad fortune to get blown out in Minnesota. They'll be a very interesting team to watch. And how bout them Flyers??

I also do not like for the Eagles and the Saints to play (which I think they do next year.) I try to pretend no interest but its a killer.

Happy New Year Voltaire, may you have a great 2009 philosophying year.

Still waiting for my Phillie Goodies from Sports Illustrated. (Due to unexpected heavy demand your order will be late.)

31. And A Grand New Year to you Shipmate!
I ordered my World Series stuff in bits and pieces, hats, books, 2 DVDs, a faux signed baseball, other stuff. Whatever the Eagles do, I can live on that WS for awhile. Makes me tear up every time I watch.

You are right about the Birds. I have given up on trying to figure out the coaching. We should win, but we could get blown out, neither would surprise me in the least.

32. The Mississippi Seawolves
Hockey Team (they play about 60 miles southeast of here) are a Flyers Minor League team starting this year. Don't know if I'll make a game this year, they don't have any day games, or early evening games on the schedule. This old fart don't get far from home once the sun goes down.

My favorite (of many favorite) World Series moments was the Pitcher hitting a home run. Its right up there with Johnny Callison hitting a home run in the 64 All-Star Game.

Hopefully we'll have to buy more stuff soon!!
