NCAA Football polls so far:
OU ahead of UT by only 4 points!

Must wait for the new BCS TV show tonight to get that poll. They even made the poll into a revenue maker. What's next? Advertising patches on uniforms? Oh, I forgot they already have the Nike swoosh.

I could care less about the BCS rankings as far as the national championship game. But I care a LOT about the BCS determining who will win the Big 12 South. And that stinks! If they all remain tied, Tech should go because they never have before. That's the only fair way.

Yes, especially after last night's game.

If OU beats OSU then they are in the championship game. That is one more ranked opponent that Oklahoma will be playing so the computers will love them even more.

2. Not after they got their butts kicked by 44 last night
if Tech had given a decent performance in losing that would be one thing, instead they were embarrassed. Now, barring some upsets, they are out of the picture and rightfully so.

3. The Harris Poll is out as well
I think that Texas will have a big enough lead in the computer polls to balance out Oklahoma's lead in the two polls and stay ahead of Oklahoma in the BCS Rankings for this week. But I don't think it will be a big enough lead if OU beats OSU next week, because that will bump up their computer rankings. That's just speculation, of course.

2. Florida (3) 10-1 2644 3

4. But if OU loses in Stillwater, Texas Tech is right back in it.
If Tech then beats Mizzou, they will be 12-1 and Big 12 Champions.

5. Can someone make sense of this?

I think that Texas will lose points next week even if they win, by a weaker strength of schedule. So the only way for them to get in is if Baylor beats Texas Tech. GO BEARS!

6. Texas could make the BCS title game without making the Big 12 title game
I think you're right that OU would win in a three-way tie, because their computer rankings will improve with a win in Stillwater. But they could still lose to Missouri and Texas would then have a great chance to play the SEC champ.

Also, if OU loses to OSU then Tech will (assuming they beat Baylor) go to the CCG, but Texas would likely (at least after next week) be ranked #2 in the BCS. Of course, voters might then jump Tech above Texas after the CCG, but then again they might not.

I think you're right about a Baylor win being Texas's only hope to get into the CCG, though ...

8. And my husband said if we get screwed...
by the computers, to hope like hell that Mizzou beats TX by a few points...National Championship slot would most likely be ours.

We better pummel OSU on Saturday, just to be sure. Then we can send Chase Daniels crying home to his mommy.

7. Hey My Friend
I suggest you be a big Auburn fan this weekend. If Auburn beats Bama and knocks them out of the number one spot before they play in the conference championship game that would clear things up somewhat. There's just one problem, Auburn sucks this year.

And don't miss the awesome game this Friday, Arkansas V LSU. No McFadden, No Felix Jones, no three overtimes, No national championship on the line, but what else ya gonna do Friday? And the game is in Little Rock so its not a homegame to REAL Hog Fans.

Everybody around here will be glued to the Colorado - Nebraska game on Friday. I pity them.

11. I want UF to lose to FSU and Bama to lose to AU, so it will be USC/Big 12 champ.

12. But it wouldn't be in the Rose Bowl.
I loved that game 3 years ago UT 41 - USC 38.
