54 was on the mound when the Phillies won the world series. I am 54, born in 54 and my wonderful Grandfather who was an usher at Connie Mack up on Lehigh was 54 the year I was born. He died in March 64. Thank God he didn't see what happened at the end of that season. This means nothing to you, everything to me. Philly Fans. Enjoy!

...I really thought--before the game--that it would be scoreless (well, scoreless since Monday) into the ninth and beyond, both teams focused and keeping it tight...nope, scoring quick, but not much, but enough for Philly.

Interesting about the significance of 54. Guess it's your lucky number from now on! Do you think you'll get more World Series gear other than the pennant?
