Go Phils! Twenty eight years!
Yeah, this is a sports/lounge post, but too damned bad

Phils up in the Series, Penn State wins, Obama up 13% and one of my polling place nemisis admitting during canvassing that he would have to put up with "Barack Hussein Obama" being President Barack Hussein Obama - life doesn't get much better than this!

Pinch me

5. As I was listening to a segment on NPR
the other day, they said the only time the Phillies won, a Republican won the White House. Reagan. Sorry, don't want to take a chance that their win would relegate us to hell.

8. According to Wiki,
this is only the second time they have finished in something other than last place.

9. Did I ask how often they've finished in something other than last place?
I asked who got elected President the last time they won the World Series.

Reading comprehension is a valuable skill to have.

7. Where's Tadaeo Iguchi???
Is he still with the Phils?

I was watching the game with my 21-year old son...he wasn't even born yet when Jamie Moyer came up with the Cubs.

While I'm an American League fan (it's in the DNA), here's wishing the best to the Phils and all those partiers in South Philly.
