13. You are so right-
they have only won five superbowls. What a bunch of losers.

3. Add the Tennessee Titans to that list
They came 1 yd short of beating the St Louis Rams. London Fletcher stopped Andre Dison 1 yard short of the endzone back in 2000 ( or was it '99 ? )

7. London Fletcher?
I thought he played for the Buffalo Bills...did he play for St. Louis at the time?

15. Actually, that was Mike Jones who made The Tackle
Edited on Sat Feb-12-05 07:26 PM by BTFSTL
Fletcher was with the Rams that season, yes, and then went to Buffalo as a FA the next season.

Jones was a St. Louis-area native who went to Missouri and came home to play for the Rams the year before. Just a case of reading the play and sliding over to make a great tackle!!

Certainly the greatest football moment in St. Louis sports history!!!

On edit: Jones brought down Kevin Dyson a yard short...what a finish to a great game!!!

4. I'd add the Patriots
I grew up with the AFL then AFC Pats....in the 60's, 70's and 80's they were the pits.

5. Pats did lose two bowls...
but three wins in four years erases any past failures. Same goes for the Broncos two SB wins in the late 90's - who cares if they lost four before that.

9. 1990 and 1992 Bills, 1973 Vikes were awesome, 1983 Redskins, 1984 Dolphins
1979 Rams were probably the worst team to play in a super bowl

11. Vikings aren't losers.
We've only had 6 losing seasons in 44.

Just cause we choke doesn't mean we're losers.

12. I don't think this statement insinuates that:
"They may have lost but they got there..."

Now stop it! :spank:
