2. Do you want a Dodgers/Sox or Phillies/Sox series?
There would be something ironic about a Dodgers/Sox series with the whole Manny thing. As a Sox fan, I'd like to see them win, but if we lose to the Rays, I will cheer hard for them in the World Series.

Nothing like a well pitched game.

4. Dice-K always makes me nervous with the walks.
But he had nine strike outs too. He was amazing.

13. And in all seriousness, you can't get how I would be
deathly ill of hearing about Boston winning.

It's like the prospects of a third Bush term, only in sports.

14. "It's like the prospects of a third Bush term"
Oh please! If you equate a sports team winning to a third Bush term you have your priorities really scrambled.

Good Lord!

15. Yes, comparing a good team to Satan is not a good
analogy!

16. Oh my Lord, it's a SPORTS fourm. Don't be so sensitive
about everything MaineDem.

My friends and I torture each other about sports in real life, but one thing is clear. We don't cry.

LOL

20. Of course you are. This is a discussion board where people
discuss their feelings.

You can't stand the fact that I don't root for your team, and that I'm sick of Boston teams winning.

You're the only one that has a cow about it.

Heh...you shouldn't let on that it will bother you that much. It'll just make us Sox fans even worse (yes, it is possible :P )

6. I saw this yesterdy and said, "Oh shit," we're sure to lose...
...and even though I wouldn't say we "clobbered" them, a victory is a victory, and I bow down to your extraordinary future-telling abilities.

24. As soon as they announced Timlin was coming in,
I said to my brother "the Sox can pack up the bats, this one is over". Timlin then walked the first two batters (the 7 & 8 hitters) on a combined 10 pitches and blew the game without actually giving up a hit.
