Anyone Watch The Slam Dunk Contest?

Dwight Howard is a freak of nature.

2. maybe in year's past, but this one was really cool, actually

Dwight Howard had three amazing dunks.

One, where he dunked from behind the backboard. Another one where he took off from just inside the free throw line, got almost horizontal (while wearing a Superman cape) and threw the ball through the hoop. And another where he put the ball on a mimi-hoop next to the real hoop, took it with his right hand and dunked it with his left hand. Oh, and another where he threw the ball at the backboard, jumped, slapped the ball back against the backboard, caught it and dunked it.

Gerald Green had a nice dunk too, where he put a cupcake on the rim with a candle on it. He lit the candle and dunked the ball and blew out the candle in mid air right before he dunked it.

It was really exciting. Dwight Howard was great last night. I contend anyone who missed this years dunk contest really missed a treat.

5. He's Superman

It was a pretty fun dunk - powerful and smooth. However, was it technically a dunk since he didn't touch the rim? Interesting question ... I still say yes, it was.

I'm not a big fan of the dunk contest, since the great dunks usually come in-game and follow the flow and energy of the game. But this year was good stuff.

7. I caught it completely by accident

Clicking channels and I arrived just in time for the cupcake dunk. That one was outrageous then Dwight Howard even more surreal. To put on a cape then come through like that will be legendary for decades.

That's the first time I've seen the slam dunk contest in at least 5 years.
