1. Couldn't think of which basketball team THE OSU reminded me of...

while watching The Gators wax The Buckeyes last night. And this morning it dawned on me.

The Washington Generals.

Hint: when you defeat a team you build them up, not tear them down. That diminishes your accomplishment if all you did was overcome the Washington Generals.

Now, let's see if the Gators are manly enough to schedule a football home-and-home with Ohio State. We know they won't play Miami year to year. The simultaneous football and basketball titles are a terrific accomplishment but you've got to realize it puts increased scrutiny on the program as a whole. You'll be hearing much more in national media about the wimpy out of conference scheduling including no out of state games since the 38-21 loss to Syracuse in '91.

about college football scheduling. How big of a mor*n do you have to be to make the following argument:

The '06 Florida Gators, the only team in college football history to have played the #1 ranked most difficult schedule as measured by The NCAA and still won a National Championship.... do not play a schedule that is difficult enough.

Un be-f*cking-lievable.

"Yea, you played the #1 most difficult schedule in the country this year but I think you should have played a........ MORE......... difficult schedule."

Right, Pal. Just for you we'll play every ranked team in the country on the road, next year.

Oh wait. I was wrong. There was ONE other team in college football history that played the #1 most difficult schedule in the country and STILL won a National Championship in addition to this year's '06 Champion, Florida Gators...... and that was......... the 1996 National Champion Florida Gators.

Their athletic department makes plenty of money! Why did they do that? It totally demeans the Big Ten.

I am not trying to be mean, but from what I heard the official name of the school is The Ohio State University. I do not know why that is, but that is what I heard.
