Top Ten Most Hated Dukies-
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=neumann/070306&sportCat=ncb&lpos=spotlight&lid=tab6pos2

2. J.J. Redick (2002-06)
Résumé: Two-time All-America selection (2004, '05); No. 11 selection in the 2006 NBA draft (Orlando).
Why he's hated: Redick is one of the cockiest Dukies, and his frequent game-winning heroics deflated opposing fans throughout the ACC.
Oddity: Redick thinks he's a poet, but we tend to disagree.

3. Steve Wojciechowski (1994-98)
Résumé: National defensive player of the year (1998).
Why he's hated: Did someone say floor slapping? Yep. It's the floor slapping. There is no getting around the fact that it was seriously aggravating. Plus …
Oddity: Can you imagine Wojo getting into LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony about playing defense? It happened at the Team USA workouts this past summer. Result: a pride-swelling bronze medal at the world championships.

you will never guess who number one is. ok, you probably will guess.

3. Coach (R) is only sixth?!
Where is the justice? When you come right down to it, he's the real reason we hate all the others. All the ickiness originates within him. And for that, all he gets is sixth?

4. Redick's Poetry
What do people think about J. J. Redicks poetry? I do not think it is as bad as the person from Sprots Illustrated thinks. It does seem to have religious undertones, which makes me wonder if he is a Republican or a right winger. I do not think all or most religious people are Republicans or right wingers, but I guess I tend to think the ones who make a big deal about it are Republicans or right wingers. So what do others think?

5. I think they should fire the Duke English Department immediately
If they were the least bit responsible for its awfulness. Seriously. Duke is supposed to be an elite university. I understand that athletes don't tend to be at the high end of the liberal arts curve, but that poetry, if you can call it that (technically, I would say it's doggerel) sounds like something a 12-year old might have written. It's atrocious. It's not just the poor quality of the verse, it's the absolute simplicity of the thought behind it.

6. 6. Mike Krzyzewski (head coach, 1980-present)
6. Mike Krzyzewski (head coach, 1980-present)

Résumé: Enshrined in the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2001; 775 career victories (702 at Duke); three national championships and 10 Final Four appearances.
Why he's hated: The perception of him being smug disguised as being serious; recruiting inroads disguised as commercial endorsements; success -- no matter your alma mater, he probably has defeated it at some point.
Oddities: The coincidental timing of his leave of absence (exhaustion, back injury) and a 2-14 ACC record under Pete Gaudet in 1995 … the alleged rat resemblance … the whole episode of discussions with the Lakers.

7. #9- Shav Randolph
9. Shavlik Randolph (2002-05)
Résumé: Entered the NBA draft with a year of eligibility remaining, only to go undrafted.
Why he's hated: Bitter feelings still remain over the recruiting battle for his collegiate services. He spurned NC State, where he was a ball boy as a kid and his grandfather was an All-American in the 1950s.
Oddity: The amount of publicity his "Don't bring your gayness on me" comments generated. Ummm. This is Shav Randolph -- he of seven career NBA starts. More wisdom and insight from Shav can be found here.

8. Dick Vitale should be number one
I associate him with Duke more than anyone, due to the constant licking and smooching.

The refs should be second, the ones who ignore anything but a axe to the groin if it's delivered by a Duke player late in a tight game.

11. LOL
It's always interesting to see how Vitale incorporates Duke and Coach K into his telecasts, even when Duke or even an ACC team isn't involved in the game. There's a reason that he's often referred to as "Dukie V"

9. I'm shocked Shane Battier didn't make the list
Since he has elevated flopping to draw a charge into an art form. Soccer players have nothing on Dookies when it comes to flopping and cheap theatrics.

10. Wouldn't basketball be improved if they added diving as a foul?
the way they do in hockey? It would be hilarious. The day can't come soon enough for me. I can't stand flopping - Genobile is the worst.
