For L.A. DUers: Do You Want An NFL Team?

I can't believe that it's now been 10 years since L.A. has had an NFL franchise. I was in b-school in L.A. when both the Raiders and the Rams left. Do you still want a team?

1. Heck no.

I love having no blackouts of the network games, and I'll never be able to afford the tickets anyway.

It's true that most people in LA are from somewhere else, and we already have a favorite team. I'm convinced the only people who really want a team here are the sports media and the big money people - the ones who stand to profit from such a thing.

However, I'm afraid we won't be team-free for long: I can't believe New Orleans can still support a team, the Chargers are eyeing Orange County, and in any case the Raiders will be back once their lease in Oakland runs out in 2011 (which sucks because crime went down when they left; I think it's becuase local criminals just couldn't get as psyched up to go out and commit crimes :P ).

I am watching for that "D" thing. Baltimore and the Bolts then later the Bears and your Hawks, this coming sunday would look like a zinger if they had some kind of game in the middle of it all
