Hogs go to Freshman Phenom at Quarterback
It took Houston Nutt game two to go to his Freshman Phenom Parade All American Mitch Mustain to start at QB. Former QB, Robert Johnson converts to wide receiver. Hogs host Utah State this Saturday at Fayetteville.

1. That didn't take long
Given the drubbing to USC and since he was the #1 recruit in the country, why not?

BTW, this hit by Dallas Washington on the USC kick returner, basically pile driving, him was amazing. Worth a watch for anyone who didn't see it.

2. I believe the quarterback switch
was in the works all along. Nutt lets the kid start his career against Utah State instead of USC. Good coaching move. I found the Hog defense to be a tad full of themselves and their ass whipping Saturday may have been the best thing for them. The five turnovers didn't help things much either.

Thanks for the YouTube! That was an awesome display.

3. They need more muscle in the offense
I watched the game Saturday and Arkansas is kidding itself if they think that much finesse will work in the SEC. I don't care who plays quarterback. The aggressive penetrating defenses in that league will destroy a gimmick attack like that and cause turnover after turnover. It might be fine in the Pac 10 but not against the likes of Auburn, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, LSU, Florida on a week to week basis.

They over rotated. I know they wanted more balance but that isn't balance. It is what Florida tried last year early in the season, before Urban Meyer realized he had to make concessions and alter the offense that toyed with the Mountain West.
