How Bad is Team USA?

I know everyone is saying that Team USA only needs a shooter, but it seems that everyone is failing to realize the length of a three pointer in international play. On the Sports Reporters John Saunders pointed out that the length of an international three pointer is the length of a mid-range jumper in the NBA. If none of the guys who went to Japan can shot a mid-range in international competition does that not speak poorly of the ability of the team. I do not hate or dislike Team USA, but come on how good of a team is this if they cannot shoot mid-range jumpers? When women basketball players miss shots like that a number of people say that the women's game is a joke and that the women cannot actually play basketball. So, can we be a little fair? Are these guys really that good of a team?
