3. I don't pick -- I just root really loud!
And wear burnt orange and hang a Longhorn flag and open my beer with a bottle opener that plays The Eyes of Texas and put Longhorn bandanas on my dogs. ;)

Hook 'em, Horns!

4. Go get em Buckeyes!
And they know how rare it is for some body from Michigan to be rooting FOR them!
Even the mascot wears shin guards!

I feel ashamed to admit I'm a Longhorn fan.

9. They didn't accept him when he applied...
and everyone who has attended UT knows they likely got a better and more well-rounded education than they would at Harvard. I am ready to debate this point.

12. first off, you'd need to compare to Yale
not Harvard. and I'll debate that point. Certainly it is possible to obtain an excellent, well rounded education at both schools, but I bet the average student at Harvard does better than the average student at UT. simply because the average student at each place is different.

15. I disagree. I believe it's all in a name.
At UT your education is less insulated than at an ivy (Harvard, Yale) and your exposure to difference (cultural, lifestyle) coupled with challenging coursework makes for a better, well-rounded education. On a campus with 50,000 students, opportunities for student leadership abound. Additionally, a student can truly specialize in his or her studies, as the selection of studies at this large university are plentiful. Overall, I think a good student exiting UT has more tools in his/her toolbelt than a student exiting Harvard or Yale.

Bush missed out, not that I truly care.

10. Texas should have a huge energy advantage to start the game
My prized home anti-revenge theory. After winning at OSU last year Texas will be in a fury to start the game, to verify that result. It doesn't always translate to the scoreboard, but I've made a lot of money betting those anti-revenge home teams in the first half over the years. You'll certainly win more than half of them, especially early in the year when last year's result is the focus and memory. If this game were late in the season it really wouldn't matter what happened last year.

18. The homefield, anti-revenge, early in the season theory...
Sounds interesting. I'll have to look into that.
