OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) - The Golden State Warriors and coach Mike Montgomery have parted ways.

Montgomery, who presided over two losing seasons in Oakland, and the Warriors "mutually agreed" to the move, team vice president Chris Mullin said Tuesday.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports that the team will replace Montgomery with former coach Don Nelson. Nelson — the second-winningest coach in NBA history — was the last coach to lead the Warriors to the NBA playoffs. In the 1993-94 season, Nelson led the Warriors to a 50-32 record, a third-place finish in the NBA's Pacific Division. Midway through the next season, Nelson resigned as Golden State's coach due to disputes with then-forward Chris Webber.

Well, they're going to have a good coach. Now all they need is a team.
