How will I get fired up for football season with the Tigers doing do well?
Edited on Sat Jul-29-06 07:56 AM by Lefty48197
Usually, summers in Detroit consist of rooting for the Wings and the Pistons in the playoffs, and then waiting for football season because the Tigers have sucked so bad lately. Now they're on top of the world and we're all EXPECTING to see baseball in Detroit in October. Usually, my football jones rating builds steadily during August. Dare say, will I miss the MSU/UM football game for a BASEBALL game?

1. I think you can take one more year off from football to focus on baseball.

2. Well as long as you're not trying to get up for the Lions...
Because if that were the case you could take the next decade off and feel good that you hadn't missed anything significant. :)

3. Thank God NO!
I was born and raised a Packer fan, so at least I have 15 or so NFL Championships to smile about. The Lions are quickly turning into the Cubs of football.

Of course, it's really college football that I get fired up about, and there's always good college football in my two states.

5. Yeah Packers!
A.J. Hawk just signed and married Brady Quinn's sister. If nothing else, she will be nice to look at. But Favre will be comeback player of the year. I hope. I pray. I...ah never mind. I do think the Pack should have a pretty good defense however. And watch Abdul Hodge at outside LB. A run stopper type.

4. You should be happy
Maybe you could watch the baseball game on TV with the sound muted because baseball is easier to follow with no sound in my observations and listen to the football game on the radio. I am happy for the Tigers and their fans that said. Your division is turning out to be really exciting with you guys, the Twins, and of course the White Sox.

6. It should be easy
if you are a Lions fan.

7. Heck, I can focus on both!
I can root for the Tigers and for Michigan at the same time!
