Here's a stupid way to start your career!
A perfect example of why character issues do and should effect a player's "draftability". The Bengals wasted a pick on this loser!

Bengal rookie charged with theft
BY KEVIN KELLY | ENQUIRER STAFF WRITER

Bengals rookie linebacker A.J. Nicholson has been charged with breaking into the home of a former teammate in Tallahassee, Fla., and, with another man, stealing about $1,700 worth of electronic equipment.

Tallahassee police issued three warrants charging Nicholson, a fifth-round draft pick, with grand theft and burglary, both felonies, and criminal mischief, a misdemeanor.

"Our investigators talked to him over the phone (Tuesday) night," Tallahassee police spokesman John Newland said Wednesday. "We tried to get him to come down here to turn himself in and he was reluctant to do that. So we ended up filing warrants for his arrest, which are now in the system."

Nicholson could not be reached for comment Wednesday. Bengals public relations director Jack Brennan said the team does not discuss a player's legal situation until it is resolved in the courts.

2. Because you're a self-destructive dumbshit?
This incident is but the latest in a long string of this guy's run-ins with the law. Speaking of which, is Chris Henry still worth the bother? Here's another guy who'd rather be a loser. http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060528/COL03/605280376/1066/SPT02 and http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060531/SPT02/605310337/1066

This begs the question, will the Bengals ever learn? So their 2006 fifth round pick from FSU (Felon State University) may now spend at least his rookie year in the slammer and we have yet to see whether or not their second rounder, Frostee Rucker, can keep his nose clean. I'm tired of the Bengals wasting precious draft picks on guys who'd rather wear prison stripes than Bengals stripes!

More trouble for Bengals' Henry
Wide receiver arrested, charged with DUI, speeding in Union Twp.

BY MARK CURNUTTE | ENQUIRER STAFF WRITER

Just as he appeared to be putting some of his legal problems behind him, Chris Henry has another one.

The second-year Bengals wide receiver was arrested Saturday and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding.

Henry was stopped at 1:18 a.m. Saturday by an Ohio Highway Patrol Trooper Michael Shimko. Henry was traveling 82 mph in a 65 mph zone on Interstate 275 North, according to the police report.

After pulling Henry over in Union Township, Clermont County, the officer said he smelled the odor of alcohol about Henry and his vehicle and administered field sobriety tests. At that time, the officer determined Henry was under the influence of alcohol and placed him under arrest...

Ethics in the NFL - Lewis in the hot seat

Bob Knight, arguably the world's best basketball coach and inarguably its most caustic, once said to me, paraphrasing here, "It's not what you stand for that defines you. It's what you won't stand for."

It's a good quote around here now, as the Bengals wrestle with players whose skewed personal lives have become public. What won't the Bengals stand for? Where's the line for Marvin Lewis?

To the Bengals coach, there are two types of character: There is standard- issue character, defined by Webster's as "an individual's moral constitution." And there is football character, earned by competitiveness, respecting coaches and being a good teammate.

Lewis is familiar with the former. He's concerned with the latter....

Troubled duo draws Lewis' ire
Bengal coach says neither player has yet made team for '06 season
BY MARK CURNUTTE | ENQUIRER STAFF WRITER

The behavior of Chris Henry and A.J. Nicholson has embarrassed the Bengals and their coaches and is due - in part - to poor choices in personal associations, coach Marvin Lewis said Wednesday.

Lewis, not happy with the wide receiver's and linebacker's alleged criminal behavior and arrests last weekend, addressed the issue for the first time publicly.

Henry was arrested for the third time in the past seven months early Saturday morning for driving under the influence of alcohol in Union Township, Clermont County. Nicholson surrendered to police in Tallahassee, Fla., and was arrested Saturday and charged with burglary, grand theft and vandalism....

11. Just had an idea for a new NFL award
The NFL's "Maurice Clarett-Ricky Williams Upstanding Citizen Award" to be awarded to the premier dumbshit in football who exhibits a no-holds-barred approach to derailing a multi-million dollar football career. Each winner is allowed to bring along his coach to the ceremony for hand-holding, ass wiping and bail bonding.

Bengals WR Henry arrested for fourth time in seven months

June 14, 2006
CBS SportsLine.com wire reports

COVINGTON, Ky. -- Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry was charged Wednesday with providing alcohol to three underage females, his fourth arrest in the last seven months.

Henry, 23, surrendered to Kenton County authorities on three misdemeanor counts of unlawful transaction with a minor and posted $2,500 bond. He could get up to a year in jail and a $500 fine on each count if convicted. Henry will be arraigned Thursday, the prosecutor's office said.

Henry was charged June 4 in nearby Clermont County, Ohio, with speeding and drunken driving. He also faces trial Aug. 21 in Orlando, Fla., on a concealed weapon charge involving allegations that he pulled a pistol on a group of revelers in January.

He was previously prosecuted in Kenton County for a December arrest on marijuana charges, pleading guilty in March and avoiding jail time after completing a drug rehabilitation program....

Note to Marvin -- Ditch this loser already!!!!!!!!!!
