Anyone else watching March Madness on your computer?
I signed up for March Madness on Demand via CBS Sports. It's free and you can watch any game that is going on unless it's blacked out in your area. For example, the Oklahoma-UW Milwaukee game is blacked out in Austin because it's being shown on television.

I think you can still sign up if you're interested at www.ncaasports.com/mmod.

Note: I have no financial interest in this enterprise -- just a love of basketball. :)

1. No, I prefer to get all my sports updates from DU thread titles
I eagerly await the inevitable context-free threads like "OMG did you see that buzzer beater!!!1!!," "The Refs STOLE this one," etc.

There is a competitive, participatory element to figuring out the meaning and import of such threads. I feel that this element makes me "part of the action."

:hi:

2. Okay, I'll give it a try . . .
What an upset! Secretly makes me happy but not good for my conference. :(

Overtime between #13 and #4 seeds, are you kidding me?

What's Bobby Knight doing to that chair? ;)

5. Yes, it's pretty obvious now that they're showing the end of the
Pacific-Boston College game on television and I have it up on the laptop -- about 35 seconds behind.

Kind of fun to keep up with all the games, especially since I'm home for spring break. I should be grading papers, though. :)

12. Are you experiencing any glitches?
I'm doing laundry and stuff so I'll leave my computer and come back and find that I've been kicked out. And no, I wasn't throwing cups of soda at the refs! ;)

Also, several times when I'm waiting to get back in, it will say that I would be closer "in line" if I were general admission instead of VIP! Anyway, it's never been too much of a wait to get back in. Do you know if this is the first year for this setup? Maybe they're still working out the bugs before they decide to start charging for it.
