Drew Brees has a torn labrum.
Throwing arm.

Phillip Rivers gets a couple of weeks to to get ready to show everybody what he has.

2. I probably shouldn't have ASSumed that
the Chargers were in the playoffs without checking, should I?

Must have been that victory over the Colts that made me think they were still going to be playing...

5. it's natural enough to assume that when a team fields 6 pro-bowlers..
that they would be in the playoffs, unless of course, that team is coached by Marty Schittenheimer.

3. That was an ugly injury
You could tell that was going to be serious. Hopefully he can heel up over the off season.

4. and only a one year contract, right?
so he's a free agent with a bum arm. Hope he invested well, for his sake.

6. Torn labrums are nasty injuries, too.
Unpredictable healing, and it just saps your arm of all strength. He may be done.
