Any Giants fans out there?
I know you're there--what's your take on today's game?

Wasn't on here, but I kept checking the score.

One way to look at it--a win's a win.

Second way--it took them until overtime to beat a team that is really, really, really bad.

Third way--they held together in overtime to win--shows they can win tight games.

Fourth way--yeah, the Eagles suck, but they're a different team when they play the Giants--the rivalry is that intense.

1. its a division rivalry
this is just how these games are. The defense forgot to show up in the first half but came up real big when it counted.

2. So, if you had to vote, you'd say it was mainly
due to #4???

3. As an Eagles fan...

I don't think we're "really, really, really" bad. We haven't been playing well given all our troubles this season, but we played a good game, as did the Giants. I don't think the Giants played bad at all - they had a pretty damn good game. I think we just FINALLY played better (really, by virtue of the fact that our offense finally came together a bit, and Moats had a huge game).

That being said, this was the first game I was actually hoping we'd lose. I want to see the Giants win the division (I loathe the Cowbitches), and we're already going to get a WAY better draft pick than we deserve so the more games we lose the better pick we get.

It was a good game, played by two good teams. :)

4. Ok, I stand corrected--you're not really, really, really bad, you've just
been playing really, really, really badly.

I have to say the outcome was a shock given last week's game against Seattle.

8. That's true...
But it shows we CAN play well, even with about 3 starters on our entire team thanks to injuries. The talent on our 2nd and 3rd stringers is there, as it has always been - we just finally found it today :)

It was a very good game though, and I congratulate Giants fans :)

6. The Giants
defense didn't show up in the first half. I wouldn't say they played well.

9. I watched the game in hostile territory tonight
I was at a party at an Eagle's fan's house, so it was quite tense. I didn't think that this would be a blow out at all, the Eagles got their asses handed to them on national tv last week so they had something to prove. Plus Giants-Eagles games are always close in the same way that Duke-UNC games are always close. It doesn't matter if one of the teams suck, when you play a rival it's like the Super Bowl. That said I'm glad we won and Feely got a little confidence booster before the playoffs.

10. 1 & 4....
Division games are always tough. Hell even playing the Cardninals twice a year was a freaking headache because they always played the division tough.

In the end all that matters is a W.

11. I hated playing the cards...
when they were in the east, it always seemed like the Giants were droping a must win game to that joke of a team. I'm quite glad they are out of there

12. Dreaded nearly every game.....
...even during that 9 or 10 games win streak against them, the points margin was rarely over 7 and usually more like 3 or 4.

13. it was fun
seeing LT beat the crap out of Neil Lomax. Lomax once called a time out because he couldn't find LT, who was on the sideline on that play.

14. I say Number 1
Everyone at school was talking about it and Im like, its a win, and in the NFL a win is all that counts! Were not in college with the stupid BCS and polls. The score doesn't matter its the wins that do.

that matters.
