The Houston Astros have decided not to give arbitration to Roger Clemens.

1. So that means he can't come back to Houston until... June 1, right?
What does that mean? Is he done, will he find another team?

I think he can come back and do more talks in May. I think he is done or just as good as done. News reports say that the Astros felt they could not build the team and pay Clemens another big salary. I think the talk was that Clemens could get as much as $20 million. The Astros will focus on building their team. So I think Clemens will not be back. I do not see any reason another team would want to pay him $18-$20 million to pitch for them. They could get a good young pitcher for less.
