3. I think that is why they brought in Jim Bates, he is their backup plan.

4. I think he is saying he won't come back for a new coach
Edited on Fri Nov-04-05 10:25 AM by Goblinmonger
He says he doesn't want to learn something over again, i.e. if there is a new coach, Favre isn't going to stick around to learn a new system.

on edit: I think Sherman is useless and should be gone regardless of what Favre is going to do. I mean, come on, the guy threw 5 picks last week. Of course, my team's QB is done.

12. You're right on both counts.
Pretty astute for someone who wears purple!
Brett should go, anyway. He seems to be going through the motions.
As for Sherman, I thought he was doing a fine job as coach until the Philly playoff loss. He scapegoated Ed Donatell for that loss, and IMHO, cost the team Mike McKenzie in the process.
Ted Thompson extended Sherman's contract as the season began. At least that money doesn't count towards the salary cap. Sherman's gone in January. Send him off with Tom Rossley and the defibrulation paddles.

Don't drag it out. When your time's up, your time's up.

7. Yes he should, his time is past
and the Vikings should also be ready to replace Culpepper in the next draft. Culpepper may be done for good.

14. I think he will.
I feel sorry for Brett Favre. He doesn't deserve to go out like this.

And I say this as a lifelong Steelers fan.

9. Correct. But I heard that Mike Holmgren might come back to GB
I wonder how that would affect Favre?

10. It was a sad day
in Titletown when we learned Holmgren was leaving. Favre and Holmgren made a good team.

13. There's a reason they renamed the street "Holmgren Ave"
I'd love to see Mike come home. I'll bet Bret would too. Personally, I'd like to see Ron Fox come back.
