2. It's a different league

One where my Minnesota Wild went from 25th before the season to 6th place in TSN's power rankings. It's all about youth and speed now.

Brodeur lost two of the best defenseman in the league. It's not too surprising he's not doing as well.

I suggest your first moves as soon as you read this are dropping Hull (retired), Korolyuk (went back to Russia) and Nurminen (retired due to injury) and picking up some people that are actually playing! ;)

5. Bill Wirtz is the problem
The Blackhawks will never have a good team until this evil man is gone.

9. Either the non-Hawks are pulling all the weight,
or you picked Vorobiev.

Mark Bell is a typical Blackhawk. He was the 9th pick in the draft one year. THat same year, the Wings picked, in the 8th round, one Pavel Datsyuk. The 9th pick has one point this season. The 8th round pick is going to contend for the Hart Trophy.

Bell, Steve McCarthy, Ty Jones, Dmitri Nabokov, Jimmy Waite, - all high draft picks for the Hawks, none made anywhere near "journeyman".

Then there's our system of development, of which Vorobiev is an example. The Blue Jackets teenage draft pick goes straight to the NHL and wins the Richard Trophy his first year. Ours goes to the AHL for five years of learning to play "Blackhawk Hockey".

Arrgh. There goes my blood pressue again.

I do not know what I am doing, and I am so in the dark about the stats.
