After UT loses to Tech next week who will be the frontrunner for
the championship game against USC. Kinda sad, seeings how Texas has been overrated all season. Who will shake out? Maybe the Longhorns can spend New Years in Shreveport. Close to home!

2. If it looks Like a Duck and wins like a Duck
I will go out on a limb here and say my alma mater, The University of Arkansas won't be playing for a championship game this year.

5. Jobycom, you pain me and crush my heart
Who, besides UCLA stands in the way of USC and the championship game. They went into South Bend and pulled three rabbits out their trojan asses in the last minute. I'm not a USC fan, but my rational mind says they are it. And some Trojan will most likely win this year's Heisman, which one we just don't know.

6. Frontrunners?
VA Tech or the winner of the SEC Championship (either Georgia or Alabama)

Hopefully the stars will align perfectly and 'Bama will be able to play for their 13th national title! But, I doubt it.

7. Sure!
Well, I think USC will loose to UCLA and then face TCU in the Holiday Bowl (which they will also lose).

8. Tech will get clubbed at Texas
A finesse team like that with weak defense doesn't win big road games against legit teams. I remember Texas Tech venturing into Norman a few years ago with similar hype when the Sooners were on top, and it was a 30 point deficit before halftime.

USC plays at Cal and home to UCLA. Those are apparently the biggest hurdles. But our young defense should improve and get healthier. No one will take us out until the championship game, which could be another matter.

9. Agreed about Texas being overrated a bit, but they'll beat Tech
If this game were being played in Lubbock, Tech would have a shot. Can't see Tech's defense holding down Texas' offense.

10. How bout holding down TTech's Offense?
The score might be 52-50 and whoever has the ball last wins.

11. I think, Boss, you have to look at where the game is played
I believe the major difference is the home field advantage. Like I stated earlier, if this game was in Lubbock, I could see Tech winning.

Side note - one of my former students, Vincent Meeks, plays safety for Tech (number 1). I'm looking forward to seeing Vincent possibly attempting to bring Young down in the secondary.

12. I truly believe in "any given Saturday"
The TTech offense is insane. It'll be a an offensive lovers dream game. A bad call here, a fumble there and ya never know. TTech is a greater threat to Texas than Notre Dame was to USC in my humble opinion. If, as you say, the home field will be the game winner for Texas, then the Horns have no business in a BCS championship game. My Hogs won't make a bowl game for the second straight year so I'm looking for a Texas loss to put a smile on my face.

13. We'll have to agree to disagree
I'm sure not wagering on this game, that's for sure. At least, not ATS. But I may have to look at the over/under when it comes out.

14. What's wrong with Texas Tech, anyway?
We had to miss almost the entire first quarter of the Michigan game while they ran up the score on Kansas State. There were nine minutes left at 12:26 (Pacific Time) and the game didn't end for almost a half hour, while those jerks continued to pass the ball and run up the score.

15. When Loyola Marymount had those incredible basketball teams
ten years ago, they were the most exciting thing in the NCAA tournament. Tech plays football like LM played basketball-full speed, full tilt, and full time. They are very entertaining.

Nevertheless, they will get creamed in Austin.

18. Oh... should I even begin?
Yeah it's the 3rd Quarter, but so far I see a score of 34-10 Texas.

HA!

Hook 'em.

19. Thank You Texas
I'm glad something good happened today. Way to shut 'em up. :) Oh well they can always go cry on their Buddy Holly Statue. Please Vince Young go pro!

By the way congrats to Missouri on kicking our ass. Glad we won't see Brad Smith again too.
