Green Bay (+7.5) at Carolina. A good wager? Give me your thoughts
Especially interested in thoughts from Panther and Packer fans. Give me your ideas - is this game a good bet, one way or the other?

1. Getting +7.5 I'd definitely take the Packers
Favre's a cornered tiger. They may not win, but they'll keep it close.

2. What's the over/under....
...on the number of times Michaels & Madden verbally fellate Favre tonight?

Not a Packer or Panther fan, but I think the Panthers should cover. They're playing at home on a national stage coming off a tough loss. They'll be fired up.

12. maybe I should start betting.
Even when they were up by 19, I knew the final would be <7.5

14. that's part of the reason you usually don't give up a ton of points
when betting on NFL - because games are usually <10 point margins.

7. I don't have much of an opinion
Haven't bet the game. Generally I look to the underdog in a spot like this, but Green Bay might be drained after an emotional effort to escape an 0-3 hole last week vs. Tampa Bay. Road teams coming off a loss generally are good bets in the NFL, covering at about a 54% clip.

One interesting fact: Carolina has scored 20+ points in 13 consecutive games dating to last season. I've had success betting Panther games over the total including last week at Miami when the over/under was only 36.

11. It's the point spread
At the end of the game, they'll take GB's score and add 7.5 to it in order to make the gambling action more interesting.

15. antiwarwarrior, thank you, and another betting ?
So, since the final score had Carolina winning by three, if I had taken Green Bay and the points I would have won this bet? Sorry for the long delay.
