Un-frickin'-believable. RG3 comes out of nowhere to steal the Heisman.

So Luck came back for another year for what? To get punked by Oregon, again? To end up with the Indian-no-place Dolts?!

1. Full faith in a Big 12 quarterback
Despite collectively the worst pass defense in the country, and examples like Gabbert.

Can't say I'm surprised. Everybody seems to fixate on the most recent thing they've seen, as evidenced by the "worst commissioner" thread.

Meanwhile, Griffin played only 4 road games and his team underachieved in every single one of them -- blowing a big late lead at Kansas State, routed by Texas A&M and Oklahoma State, and nearly managing the most embarrassing loss of the season, a 1 point win at dreadful Kansas. Griffin threw 5 of his 6 picks in those games. I guess the schedule decided this Heisman, since Baylor didn't play a true road game after November 12.

2. Congrats
He certainly was an exciting player to watch. Can't wait to see more! All were deserving, probably one of the best group of 5 finalists ever. JMO

3. The loss to Oregon was tough..
but not entirely unexpected. They lost to the Ducks by an almost identical score last year..and I think Stanford had a better team in 2010..

I'll go with what Jim Harbaugh had to say about the Hiesman the other day:

“It’s an individual award in a team sport that I don’t think is going to change Andrew’s life one way or the other,” Harbaugh said. “He’s had a wonderful career.”

Harbaugh said the Heisman Trophy is “probably way overhyped” and think Luck wouldn’t be disappointed if he doesn’t win. “He understands it’s a team game. Individual awards are not very encompassing to Andrew Luck.”

As for Luck playing for the Colts...would you rather see him playing in the AFC for the Colts..or in the NFC, possibly even for one of the 49ers division rivals?

4. I know you didn't ask me
but St. Louis recently with Bradford makes it interesting if they have a choice for Luck. I would like my Cardinals to have him but I think they are more talented and could finish the season higher than Seattle or St. Louis. I know I probably have rose-colored glasses but 4 out of their first 6 losses were winnable games. OTOH, 4 out of their last 4 wins were losable games.

5. Your Cardinals already have 5 wins..

St Louis though is only 2 games behind the Colts in the Luck sweepstakes. You're right, it would be really interesting to see if they would take Luck if given the opportunity. Even with Bradford already there, I would think they would have to if they could afford him. Luck is about as NFL ready as you can be. I don't think either one of us want to see him in the NFC West..

6. Those of us here in Texas have been watching RG3 for a bit now.
I'm kind of happy for him. Look up some of his tape on youtube. Andrew Luck ran out of luck I think.
