8. That and the Kraft Fight Hunger bowl
6-6 vs 6-7. UCLA had to get a waiver to play.

3. What, no Goldman Sachs Bowl? No "Mycreditscore.com" Bowl?
All match-ups aside...I think this crass commercialization of the Bowl names takes away from the games being played. These games don't make big revenue without selling the bowl name?

I wonder when NCAA basketball will adopt this for their brackets?

5. I hate everything
In scanning that list, my most reliable bowl betting systems won't have many plays.

Everything sucks this year, and I sensed that as soon as the Heat lost to Dallas, and all the moronic haters were rewarded.

I need an anti-pissed off pill. Or maybe a flurry of birdies tomorrow.

6. I wonder if OK St. can still win the national championship.
Edited on Sun Dec-04-11 10:50 PM by Renew Deal
At least of share of it. If they crush a very good Stanford team and Alabama squeaks by LSU, it might happen.

Edited on Mon Dec-05-11 06:13 AM by Syrinx
Translated: "If LSU loses, don't be suprised if LSU wins."

What?

The game at the Superdome on January 9th is the BCS National Championship game.

How does the loser of the national championship game become the national champion?

17. We were talking about a split national championship
If we see a repeat of the last game except with Alabama coming out on top, dont be surprised if many AP Voters keep LSU at the top spot.

11. I guess it's theoretically possible they could be rated at the top of the AP poll
But it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense, considering that Alabama would've had one close loss to LSU, and Oklahoma State had one close loss to a 6-6 Iowa State team that is going to be playing in the "Pinstripe Bowl," which I've never even heard of.

The winner of the BCS title game will, of course, be the official BCS National Champion. And, at least according to Wikipedia, the USA Today Coaches' Poll is required to rank the winner of the BCS Title game at the top. I don't know that as an absolute fact, but it makes sense.

The winner of the BCS National Championship Game is required to be voted number one, yet the AP Poll does not have this requirement.

It's really horrible.

And Penn State should not be going to a bowl game.
