The Tiger is roaring
Who saw that birdie at 17?
Bwaaaaaaaaaaaah! Never write off the greats in any sport.

4. Amazing finish! Great to see back in top form.
Can't wait for the 2012 season to begin, and see him competitive in all of the majors...

5. Amazing he can move from 57 to 21 in the world rankings
Based on a win like that. Heck, he jumped more players than were in the event.

Great clutch birdies on 17 and 18 but Zach was ridiculously unlucky that his putt didn't drop on 17. You could tell he knew the line and hit it exactly where he planned.

I'll be more convinced when Tiger has to hit driver, and pulls it off. Lots of stingers this week.

7. The Game Is Not About How
It's about how many. Whatever you do to navigate the course in the fewest strokes is the way you should be doing it. Doesn't matter if you're a top end pro or a club player.

9. You can't hide weakness with a driver
Watch him in person and the ball takes off sideways too often. Likewise with Luke Donald, who hits the most squirrelly looking drives I've ever seen for a top pro. Tiger is a candidate to straighten things out but he's not there yet. Majors these days are set up to the point you can't leave the driver in the bag, other than certain British Open venues.

10. Did You Actually Watch The Tournaments?
The PGA and the Masters were both set up so that big boomers could use 3 wood. Most didn't at the Masters because the rouch is so easily manageable. If they stayed out of the trees, they always had a lie they could use.

The PGA was ideal for guys with considerable power to use 3 wood and manage the course. Look at the driving averages. Those numbers tell me LOTS of guys hit 3 wood.

11. Agree---
that's why Tiger will be one of the favs for the Masters.

His short game has come alive and his confidence is back. That's not a good thing for opposing players.

rinsing, and repeating.

Talent plus consistency -- that's what makes the greats in sports great.
