THOSE are the Lions that this Packer fan is afraid of...
Edited on Sun Nov-20-11 05:15 PM by ScreamingMeemie
My son is delirious, I am sick.

My father often talks of 1962, Packers 10-0, coming into Detroit on Thanksgiving Day. Please don't let history repeat itself.

But...

What a game, what a game. and... Welcome back Kevin Smith. Jahvid Who?

1. I think our Packers are in trouble
At least against Detroit. The defense cannot stop anyone except the Vikes, and usually a team that lives by the takeaway dies by the takeaway. And you can bet that each and every opponent the Pack has after today will incorporate some of the Tampa game plan into their own to defeat Green Bay. That being said, GO PACK GO!

3. As a 12 year old, I recall having that game
on my transistor radio (game not on TV, it being 1962 and all). It seemed the Lions sacked Starr a hundred times (11 is a lot!) and just pushed them all over the field that day. For one day we were KINGS! :bounce:

4. My father worked for the Milwaukee Journal at the time.
There was a television in the break room and, he recalls, every time he walked by Starr was on his back. You were kings on that day! :)

5. Lions should have great ferocity early
Similar to Atlanta's defense abusing the Packer offensive line during the first half a couple of months ago.

Rodgers doesn't get rattled. Unless he's knocked out of the game during the early onslaught I think he makes plenty of huge decisive plays in the late going to pull it out.

Then the next week Green Bay has a 4 day scheduling advantage over the Giants, who will be on a short week after a Monday night game compared to Packers with 10 days off post turkey day.
