I thought 12.5 would be enough for the Rams, and 14 for the Colts. Not so!

The Browns wasn't the only snoozer, btw. that steaming turd last night was scary. 350 yds offense combined.

I have this feeling that if it weren't for point spreads and the fact that your 4-12 team this year might well be 12-4 next year, the NFL would draw the same size crowds as the LPGA.

38. the compulsory byes

Hi Auggie and fellow tipsters. As set up at the beginning of the season we have to have two weeks compulsory byes - instituted in order for those who came in late and for the possibility of any of us missing for whatever reason a weeks tipping.

As a suggestion - if we tip the entire season which most of us probably intend to do - at the end of the year could we exclude our 2 poorest result weeks instead instead of taking the byes?

and if we do this again next year I'm all for it.

But one player has already based his season strategy on intentionally missing the first two weeks, so he'd be unable to pick two weeks to exclude. I don't see a way to handle that unless we made it three or four weeks.

Actually, the byes are there so if an emergency arises or someone has a vacation there's no worry about missing a week.
