2. RIP Zeus
Quite a back story. Off the mean streets of DC...check out this '94 article:

3. When he wore a Browns uniform I remember a referee hit him in the eye with a penalty flag...
And Orlando Brown promptly knocked the referee on his ass.
He was out of football for a year or two after that.

The most bizarre accident I've seen in the NFL (maybe Jamaal Charles and the yard marker).

How does a penalty flag find it's way into a face-mask?

4. The flag was weighted with beebees
For those unfamiliar, OB was the unfortunate victim of a penalty flag, thrown by ref Jeff Triplette, that landed in his eye. The eye injury was serious and kept him out of NFL for three years. The PD article describes his experience growing up in the DC ghetto that lead him to see all white people as evil. The first association he had with white people was when he was a rookie at training camp with the Browns. OB is a hero and a tragic victim of circumstance. Dead at 40. What a shame!

5. That's a great post...
Thanks, I did not know that.
I watched it happen live but I didn't realize he was gone three years.
Then, came the Ravens.
