Chinese gov't buying another failed U.S. asset: the Dodgers?!
A side note in this story about Andre Ethier's season-ending injury:

http://xfinity.comcast.net/articles/sports-mlb/20110908/Dodgers-Ethier/

Ethier's 30-game hitting streak - the second-longest in Dodgers history - and the second-longest in Major League Baseball this season - was one of the few highlights for the team in 2011. The Dodgers went into bankruptcy protection and are in third place in the NL West - far out of contention. Last week, owner Frank McCourt was offered $1.2 billion to sell the team to a group backed by Chinese government-owned investment banks.

Where do I even begin? "I'll have a Dodger Dog, with extra melamine, please!" :puke: And woe betide the umpire who calls a third strike on a Dodger...

1. Hmm. They will run the Dodgers a hell of lot better than the McCourts did.
Come to think of it, they may try and outspend the Evil Empires in Boston and New York.

:D

I'm still waiting for Mark Cuban to buy the Pirates.

2. I'll be at the Pirates game Monday.
I'll ask Mark if he wants to go with me.

4. Sure!
And I may upload them before I get back home.

Gotta tell Clint Hurdle how much he is missed in Denver. Like really!
